Paved Path

A Paved Path To Nowhere is an I.F. +18 erotic/romance adventure set in the world of Terraskund.

What is an "I.F." Game?

I.F. stands for Interactive Fiction. It is another way to say a "Choose Your Own Adventure" type of game. It is a non-linear story in which the reader/player choose what they read and how the story unfolds to them.

What is it called?

A Paved Road To Nowhere: Not All Mages Are The Same

What is the objective?

You are a Human/Orc/Elf/Dwarf Warrior/Rogue/Beserker tasked with escorting an elven mage. The objective of the story/game is to make Her/Him (the mage) interested in you without getting yourself, him, or both of you killed along the way. (It could be any of the following interests: a "romantic interest", "lust-driven interest", or a "friendly interest"). The choices you make along the way greatly influences both the mage's disposition, your own disposition, and how the mage perceives you. This, in turn, will affect the different choices you are presented with at later times.

Where did the idea come from?

This project, like I said earlier, was started as a "gay" PWP request from a friend but I am incapable of making PWP and it blew up into something larger. It was so large, in fact, I decided to stop writing on the website I was posting it to and write it into a game instead. My friend encouraged it. Or demanded it. I'm not really sure on that one. Hehe.

What is the current state of the game?

Incomplete. At it's current state, you are only able to play as a male and the mage is also a male. There is no ending defined.

How do I get involved?

Just respond to this missive (haha) or note me about you being interested and we'll go from there.
  • must be 18+ years of age.
    • It started off as a PWP and because of that, it still has elements of smut therefore anyone interested must be 18+ as it is Rated Explicit for those few parts.
  • must be interested in Romance genre
    • Because it started off as a PWP, there was elements of romance in it already. I expanded on this a bit and it has become more than just a PWP, IF the reader so chooses. It can still be considered PWP if the reader chooses it to be so. (DID I JUST GIVE AWAY A SPOILER?)
  • must be open-minded
    • This started off as exclusively a male-male relationship but as I thought about opening the audience more, I was going to create woman-woman and woman-male and male-woman relationships.
  • must have an interest in helping out the project
    • You don't have to code, you don't have to draw, you don't have to edit. If you have an interest in sharing what you think of the project, this is what I need. Even a sentence like "this is going great" would be nice because it will tell me that I am doing something right. Though, I would love to have those who would rather say what wasn't working.

What type of story is this?

It is a non-linear story. A Choose Your Own Adventure type of story, yet at the same time it is a Interactive RPG. You take on the reigns of your PC and travel through the set world of this game, encountering events and people along the way where you are presented with choices to further the story and shape the ending and future events. It is a "romantic adventure". I use the term romantic loosely only because the reader may choose to not make it romantic at all.

I have more questions, where do I ask?

Right now, you can just leave a comment here or note me if you have any farther questions. If and when I open a blog for this project, you will be able to contact me there.

Who all is working on it and what are you guys doing?

At first it was just I doing all the work - technically speaking I am. I am the sole-coder, editor, writer, PRM, and Graphic Artist. HOWEVER, three of my friends have jumped on board to see how far we can take this little thing. This'll look nice a on resumé.
Let me tell you a little story. -snip read story here-
